The Eau de Parfum draws its inspiration from the original Parfum, sharing the signature floral aldehyde composition. At its heart, May Rose and Jasmine combine with bright citrus top notes, creating a lively and refreshing opening. Aldehydes give the fragrance its unique character, while the soft touch of Vanilla leaves behind a sensually smooth trail.

INSPIRATION
In 1921, Gabrielle Chanel approached Ernest Beaux to create “a woman’s perfume with a woman’s scent,” something rare and powerful. The result was an innovative fragrance featuring an unprecedented use of aldehydes. After reviewing several samples, Mademoiselle chose the fifth one and named it simply “N°5.” The iconic bottle with a minimalist design and faceted cabochon became part of its legend. In 1986, Jacques Polge, CHANEL’s perfumer since 1978, reinterpreted the original formula to create a fuller, richer version—N°5 Eau de Parfum.
